Show Info

Written and performed by Sarina Freda
Directed by Tom Costello

In 2021, Sarina confronted death and won. It took only one harrowing LSD trip. Now she's dying (not literally!) to reveal how she survived and is now really completely totally fine.

Sarina Freda (Playwright/Performer) (she/her) is an NYC-based actor/writer/producer and an NYU Tisch grad living the dream. This is her first solo show and she couldn't be more honored to debut it here at 59E59. Since graduating, she has worked on several short films and new plays with Clubbed Thumb, The Geva Center, the 24-Hour Plays Festival (Nationals 2020), The Hangar Theatre Co., and more. She is a member of The What Co. Theatre Company, produced company member Elizabeth Addison’s Chasing Grace (SheNYC), and is currently producing Gus Laughlin’s comedy performance series Look At Me. She loves to swim. She loves to dance. And her
passion project is finding inner peace.

Tom Costello (Director) is a freelance director in New York City. He was the associate director on the 2022 Broadway production of American Buffalo. He directed the NYT Critic's Pick world premiere of Smoke by Kim Davies at the Flea where he was an associate artist. With John Early he co-directed The Witchelor, co-written by Early and Nicole Spiezio at Atlantic Stage 2. He was the associate artistic director for Pipeline Theater Company where he directed many readings and workshops as well as co-directed Corpse Backpack. He was a 2017 Drama League Directing Fellow in his hometown of Ithaca, NY where he directed Olivia Dufault's The Messenger and Christopher Parks' Aesop's Fables. He is the artistic director of NYU Productions for Atlantic Acting School where is also a faculty member and frequent director. Member of Ensemble Studio Theater. BFA: NYU/Tisch www.tomcostello.net

Nicholas Webster (Composer/Sound Designer) is a sound designer and musician. He has designed and composed for numerous theatrical productions while attending Playwrights Horizons Theatre School at New York University and has since been designing, composing, and mixing for theater, short films, podcasts, and more. He also releases music under the alias Nick From The Net that can be found most places music is found online. For fun he likes to eat chips and produce 20 minute Christmas albums with his friends. Nicholas is Sarina's boyfriend but he is not the guy alluded to in this show multiple times because that guy is just a character and he doesn't exist in real life though it may have been loosely based on Nicholas but we may never really know.
